Sustainability

We make less and take our time with it.

Calter doesn’t follow a seasonal calendar. Each collection is small, considered & built around pieces that work together.

Silhouette comes first. Always has. Fabric, construction & detail serve the shape. That’s the filter for every decision we make.

Fabric

We source from mills across Asia and produce with factories in China that we know personally & visit regularly. We’re not precious about fibre type. We pick the fabric that’s right for the garment. Sometimes that’s a natural. Sometimes a synthetic does the job better: crinkle resistance, structure, recovery. We’d rather be honest about that than slap "100% organic" on a label and call it a day.

Small runs

We produce in small quantities. When something sells out, we decide whether to rerun it or move forward. No excess sitting in a warehouse. No overproduction to stay stocked.

No plastic. Paper-based tape, recyclable mailers & boxes that break down. Simple as that.

Wear what you own. Repair it if it tears. Patch it if it wears through. Use it until it’s done.

When a piece no longer serves you, pass it on. Sell it. Give it to someone who’ll wear it. The longer a garment stays in use, the less impact it carries.
